I disagree with Dr Mahathir that the president and deputy president posts must not be contested.
To cure UMNO of the remnants of the feudal mentality the party must change its constitution and insist that the president and deputy president's post must always be contested.
If the president remains, UMNO and BN will be kicked out in PRU14. This is as clear as daylight.
At this point in time the only person who can successfully challenge the president and save UMNO and the future of the Malays is the deputy president. I know there are those among you who do not support the deputy president but that is besides the point. There is no other alternative. Plus the deputy is a much more decisive person.
It is also not the time for the deputy president to ponder his personal preferences or whether he should 'lawan Boss'. Boss, ini bukan pasal 'lawan Boss'. This is about the future of UMNO, the future of the BN, the future of the Malays and the future of the country. If you dont rise to the challenge, you will have failed the party and the Malays.
We all know you do not want the position, we all know that you do not want to upset things in the party but it is the position you occupy that puts you in the spot light. This is a moment in history where the future of the country can go to hell or be saved. You are at that very important junction. Please rise to the occasion. The people will be with you. Take one step forward. Contest the party presidency.
Dr Mahathir's point that "many joined the party solely to become rich" is a wee bit late.
Err before any of you Pakatan dunggus get too excited this is also why many join the Pakatan as well. Do you seriously think those guys join DAP, PAS or PKR for king and country? Are you mad? They are just as mad about money and power.
The Perak duo got 10,000 acres of land in Kelantan in just one year after Pakatan ruled Perak. YB Massage Parlour had to be dropped from their line up in 2013 exactly because of the massage parlours. The pas-pis-pus almost shaved the hills botak in Kedah. After PAS ruled Kedah for just one term, trees have become almost extinct in the Pedu area.
Back to UMNO, not all UMNO members join the party for money. There are plenty of good people in the party. They are usually pushed aside or sabotaged. They are not allowed to rise up. If you are educated and smart then the cows and the dungs will make sure that you do not rise in UMNO. If UMNO wants to survive the cows and dungs must be removed. This is the problem in UMNO.
The liberals who think they are liberals are not really liberals at all. They are liberally confused. Kalau daddy tak kasi, siapa nak kasi lagi? Kalau tak ada daddy nak kasi, awak semua boleh hidup ke? Kalau takde Gomen nak kasi boleh pinjam duit kat HSBC ke?
Kalau JPA tak kasi atau MARA tak kasi boleh ke study kat overseas? Kalau Petronas tak kasi, kalau GLC tak kasi atau bumi quota tak kasi, boleh ke cari kerja dengan Shell atau dengan oil and gas company?
Kalau Gomen tak kasi projek dan kontrak boleh ke beli kereta Porsche? "Buy high sell low" only possible dengan Gomen bro. Kalau Gomen tak ada, kena "buy low sell high" tau. Tapi kalau "buy low sell high", can you survive? Pikir baik-baik ok.
Things are not that easy. We are still in the process of nation building. We have not arrived there yet. Jangan kacau peluang orang lain sebab you are confused you boleh survive dengan sendiri. You cannot survive on your own yet ok.
This is a time of terrible confusion.
